Our Mission

Our mission is to ease stress, reduce hunger and improve the quality of life for our neighbors in need. The Falmouth Service Center (FSC) works to increase self-sufficiency by helping to build networks among clients, neighbors and agencies.

Our History

Since 1983, FSC, a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit, has worked hand in hand with the community to educate, support, and improve the quality of life of Upper Cape residents in need. Individuals, schools, organizations, and the faith community contribute not only financial donations but also food, clothing, and other necessary goods to the Falmouth Service Center.

We recognize the needs are as diverse as our clients. Our multi-service agency therefore covers a wide range. A major component of the program is an extensive food pantry that residents/clients may visit once every week as needed. In addition, financial assistance, in conjunction with budget management workshops, is available to clients who need housing assistance and/or help paying utilities.

Every year our services find us growing with the needs of our community. The Falmouth Service Center offers the community several programs, including a community meals program, mobile produce markets and programs that offer nutritional education in cooperation with the Barnstable County Extension including Foods to Encourage.

With more than 600 enthusiastic volunteers, the Service Center is truly a place where people can come if they need help or if they wish to be of help.

Our Awards

Excellence Award for Collaboration - We are honored to have won the 2017 NonProfit Excellence Award for Collaboration. We are incredibly grateful to the Cape & Islands United Way for nominating us for this special award and to the Massachusetts NonProfit Network for all of their vital work supporting nonprofits in Massachusetts. #nonprofitsmakesense
