Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

All are Welcome

Since our inception in 1983, the Falmouth Service Center (FSC) has always welcomed all of our neighbors whether they were in need of help or they wished to help. We pride ourselves on having a warm, inviting and nonjudgmental environment. Our materials are in three languages and we do significant outreach into our community to inform our neighbors of our services. We have thousands of clients that need our services and hundreds of volunteers that help us to provide those services. It is our hope that everyone feels welcome and included.

Our Commitment

In 2022, the Falmouth Service Center Board of Directors and staff made a commitment to assess and review the culture of the organization. With regard to our culture, we have concluded that there is a need to educate, understand and fully appreciate issues of diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice across the entire organization. To that end, we have created a new Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee of the Board that includes board and staff. We have approved, the following mission and vision statement: 

FSC acknowledges that bias exists systemically throughout the United States, including in Falmouth and at the Service Center; 

FSC is working to be an organization that addresses and rectifies these injustices by making its programs, services, communications, and operations equitable and accessible to all; 

FSC commits to educating its staff, volunteers and board to create a culture of inclusion and equity for all those connected to FSC.
