Postal Food Drive
Every year on the Saturday before Mother's Day, The National Association of Letter Carriers conducts a national food drive. Households are asked to hang food on their mailboxes that their letter carriers then pick up and deliver to the local food pantry.
Here in Falmouth, we are the lucky recipient of that generous outpouring of food from our many thoughful neighbors. Last year we received 8.75 tons of food which brought variety to our food shelves. We were grateful to the many postal workers and volunteers who worked tirelessly on that day to bring the food, sort the food and stock our shelves.
If you would like to volunteer this year to help, we need volunteers from 2 - 5 p.m. in our warehouse to help sort the food donations and help out with other work needed @ FSC on that day! Just come by, you don't need to call.
Be sure to look for the Postal Food Drive flyer in your mailbox!
