Foods to Encourage

A health and nutrition education program for anyone interested in maintaining or improving their health.

What is the Foods to Encourage (F2E) Program?

The Falmouth Service Center, in partnership with Cape Cod Cooperative Extension and Barnstable County Public Health Nurses, is looking at how nutrition and healthy food favorably impacts common chronic medical conditions such as High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) and Diabetes.

When is the Program available?

The program is available from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Falmouth Service Center on the first and third Thursday of every month. To view the “Foods to Encourage” (F2E) flyer, click here.

Who can enroll in the Program?

The program is open to all clients of the Falmouth Service Center. No pre-enrollment required, just stop by.

What are the features of the Program?

The "Foods to Encourage" program is open to all.

Individuals who enroll in the bi-monthly program have their blood pressure and/or blood sugar tested by Barnstable County Nurses. There is complete confidentiality for every participant.

Participants are entitled to additional healthy food items from our weekly grocery list. There are healthy food recipes, and nutrition consultations available.

After 10 visits participants are eligible to receive a grocery gift card.
