Joanne Bayles

Joanne is a Vice President, Regional Relationship Manager at Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank. She also serves on the Boards of the Cape Cod Apartments (affordable senior housing), Wings for Falmouth Families, the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, and is a Co-Chair of the Upper Cape Summer Pops event, and a member of the Falmouth Christmas Parade committee. Joanne serves on the Finance Committee of the Falmouth Service Center.

Karen Cardeira

Karen is the Director of Falmouth Human Services and a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. For over 20 years, she was a clinical social worker at Falmouth Hospital doing primarily mental health assessment and crisis intervention and in recent years has worked on a variety of human service related community development projects throughout Falmouth and Cape Cod. Karen serves on the Governance Committee of the Falmouth Service Center.

Elyse DeGroot

Elyse, a Massachusetts native, has lived in Falmouth and worked on Cape Cod since 1989. Elyse has been the Director of Community Relations and Marketing for the Duffy Health Center since 2007, working previously as the Director of Development for Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands and as the Director of Senior Services for the town of Barnstable. Elyse has been an active volunteer for her church, the United Way, Falmouth Public Schools, and Falmouth Band Parents. Elyse serves on the Falmouth Service Center Development Committee.

Francis DeYoung

Fran is a retired owner of a Casualty Property Insurance Agency. He is also a former Instructor at Genesee Community College Evening Division and a former Director of Fleet Bank of Western NY (which later became Bank of America) Fran currently serves as a Volunteer Business Counselor at SCORE in Boston and as a frequent substitute teacher at Falmouth High School. He also is a member of the Pocasset Golf Club and of the Rotary Club. Fran is on the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.

Betsy Doud

Betsy is a retired high school English teacher and a long time social services volunteer at agencies that include the Misericordia Home in Chicago, IL, Mission House and Habitat for Humanity in Jacksonville, FLA. Betsy also serves on the Board of the Falmouth Education Foundation. She has volunteered at the Service Center since 2002 and is responsible for both the bi-weekly Budget Management Classes and the weekly Financial Assistance appointments with Service Center clients. Betsy currently serves as the  President of the Service Center Board of Directors, is the chair of the Governance Committee and serves on the Service Center Executive Committee.

Maureen Fessenden

Prior to moving to Falmouth in 2002, Maureen spent 20 years in the role of chief human resource officer in both state government and institutions of higher education, the most recent being Brandeis University. During that time she was also actively involved in a wide range of volunteer endeavors including local and state politics as well as social service outreach efforts. In her capacity as a weekly volunteer at the Service Center, she performs a variety of tasks including letter-writing, phone coverage and meeting with clients requesting financial assistance. As a member of the Board, she will serve as a member of the Governance Committee.

Len Kreidermacher

Len retired from a career as an engineering project manager at Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) and various other computer development companies in 1998. He was the volunteer book keeper at the Community Health Center of Cape Cod which started in 1998 as the Falmouth Free Clinic. He has been the treasurer at his church since 2000. He has walked with Bob Murray in the Housing With Love Walk several times going the full distance of the Cape once. Len is the Falmouth Service Center Treasurer, is currently the chairperson of the Finance Committee and serves on the Executive Committee.

Russ Lemcke

Russ has a management consulting business specializing in acquisitions and divestments. He also sits on the Board of Falmouth Academy. He is the chairperson of the Development Committee of the Falmouth Service Center and is also a member of the Finance Committee.

Dana Miskell

Dana worked in the computer industry in Boston and returned to Falmouth in 1986 to assume the ownership and management of The Wood Lumber Company. Dana’s grandfather started Wood Lumber in 1912, making it one of the longest family-owned businesses in Falmouth. Dana joined the Falmouth Service Center Board in 2005. He currently serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors, is the chairperson of the Building Committee and a member of the Executive Committee.

Debbie Netto

Debbie has worked as a cardiac technician at Falmouth Hospital for 33 years. She and her husband have been involved as volunteers at the Falmouth Service Center for over 15 years. She and her husband John organized the Falmouth community wide Thanksgiving Dinner for ten years. Debbie serves on the Building Committee of the Falmouth Service Center board.

Jeffrey W. Oppenheim

Jeffrey has practiced law for over 32 years in Falmouth. His practice focuses on estate planning and administration, business and real estate law and assisting non-profit corporations. He has been a mediator for over 20 years. He has served or is serving on the Board of Directors of the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, Inc., Falmouth Housing Trust, Inc., Marine Biological Laboratory Associates, Inc., Falmouth Community Television,Inc., Friends of Falmouth Bikeways, Inc., Falmouth Free Clinic, Inc. and the Falmouth Jewish Congregation, Inc. Jeffrey is on the Governance and the Building Committees of the Service Center.

Carie Schmieder

Carie has lived on Cape Cod since the 1980's. Her professional and volunteer background ranges from Business Development, Management, DJ'ing, Promotional Marketing to Human Services, Theatre and Film. Though new to The Falmouth Service Center, she looks forward to being an integral member of the Board.

The Rev. Deborah M. Warner

Deborah currently serves as the Rector of the Church of the Messiah in Woods Hole, MA. Having a long commitment to community social service programs and outreach to the community, The Rev. Warner will be focusing her work with the Service Center by reaching out to the religious communities in Falmouth to identify ways they can further the work of the Falmouth Service Center and use their services in reaching out to neighbors in need. She is serving on the Development Committee of the Service Center.
